Valais. Etched in the heart: With its unique and diverse landscape, Valais is a land of contrasts: in the mountains, majestic four-thousand-meter peaks and fascinating glaciers; in the valley along the Rhône, sprawling vineyards and authentic side valleys.
If you love winter, you’ll love the Valais! The majestic 4,000-meter peaks define the panorama and simultaneously create a unique world of winter sports experiences.
Valais and the sun—a love affair: the sun graces the valley with 300 days of sunshine a year. And just as the sun’s rays bathe the wonderfully unspoiled landscape—with its mountains, meadows, vineyards, and trees—in a magnificent light, you too can recharge your batteries under the incomparable Valais sky.

Ice Giant and Water Reservoir
The Great Aletsch Glacier is a sight of archaic beauty. Its immense scale is particularly striking when viewed from the vantage points of Hohfluh, Moosfluh, Bettmerhorn, and Eggishorn. Stretching over 20 km, the ice stream flows from the Jungfrau region (4,000 m) down into the Massaschlucht, some 2,500 m lower—a sight so captivating it’s hard to look away.

The Belalp snow sports area offers something for everyone: numerous slopes for ski and snowboard enthusiasts, winter and snowshoe hikes with spectacular views, as well as highlights such as the Hexenbesen tubing run, the family toboggan run, or thrilling runs of all difficulty levels.
